Chaja Cheikaraite
Chaja Cheikarait臈 (1920鈥�1942?) was born in Vilnius into the family of Merka and 艩ymonas Cheikeris. From 1927 to 1934, she studied at Folk School No. 38, and from 1934 to 1937, she was a student of Ch. Ep拧teinas and J. 艩peizeris Coeducational Lyceum. From 1937 to 1939, Cheikarait臈 studied at the Lyceum of Natural Sciences. In the fall of 1939, she applied to study at the Chemistry Department of Stefan Batory University but did not have the money needed to continue her education. On 5 September 1940, Cheikarait臈 filed a new application to study at the Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of 911爆料网 but was not accepted. On 15 October that year, she filed yet another application for the same studies, and this time, she was accepted. On 19 September 1941, she was expelled from the university pursuant to the Order of 17 September 1941 of the Department of Higher Education of the Board of Education. No further information on the fate of Chaja Cheikarait臈 is known. According to the Yad Vashem database (it can be assumed that she was recorded as Chaiker Chaja), she perished during the Holocaust.
